FAQ’s: JIB/Owners

The following are the most commonly asked questions that result in either a change of ownership or a change to the payee. Although we have tried to address the most common situations, the nature of some situations change frequently due to the laws of each jurisdiction. If you are in doubt or require additional information regarding your particular set of circumstances, please contact the Endeavor Land Department directly.

TRANSFER INFORMATION:
A. If you recently sold your Royalty Interest (RI), Working Interest (WI) or Overriding Royalty Interest (ORI) please send a copy of the appropriate conveyance filed of record in each county in which the property is located. You may send the conveyance directly to:

A. Whether there was a will, and the state in which the estate is being probated, affects the answer to this question. Below is a list of some common scenarios, but for specific situations please contact the Land Department at landhelp@eeronline.com (432) 687-1575.

1. Owner died with a will (testate) and probate proceedings are to be conducted in the same state in which the properties are located.

WHEN PROBATE IS COMPLETE, send the following information to the Land Department, 110 N. Marienfeld, Suite, 200, Midland, TX 79701:

  • Certified copy of Last Will and Testament
  • Order Admitting Will to Probate
  • Letters Testamentary
  • Final Decree of Distribution (if applicable)
  • Recorded conveyances (if applicable)
  • Copy of Death Certificates.

2. Owner died with a will (testate) and probate proceedings are to be conducted in a state other than the state in which the property is located.

WHEN PROBATE IS COMPLETE, send the following information to the Land Department, 110 N. Marienfeld, Suite, 200, Midland, TX 79701:

  • Documents of ancillary probate proceedings in all effected states (requirements vary according to individual state laws)
  • Recorded conveyances (if applicable)
  • Copy of Death Certificate.

Owner died without a will (probate)

WHEN PROBATE IS COMPLETE, send the following information to the Land Department,

  • Letters of administration (if applicable)
  • Affidavit of Heirship (individual state laws of Descent and Distribution will apply as relevant)
  • Recorded conveyance (if applicable)
  • Copy of Death Certificate
OWNER INFORMATION AND CHANGES:
A. If your name has changed due to marriage, divorce, or adoption please send in legal documentation proving the name change. Examples include a marriage certificate, divorce decree reinstating maiden name, etc.
A. Download the appropriate change of address form located in the forms section for either owners or vendors. Fill it out completely and if you are an owner please send the completed form to revenuehelp@eeronline.com, for vendors please email the completed form to landhelp@eeronline.com
A. Send in a copy of the Certificate of Name Change with the Tax ID included to the Land Department.
A. Send a copy of the recorded power of attorney to our Land Department.
A. Notify Endeavor’s Land Department with a copy of the Trust Agreement and appropriate recorded document conveying the property interest to trust.
A. Send a copy of the Dissolution of Trust and appropriate recorded conveyance to the trust beneficiary.
A. Send the Endeavor Land Department a copy of the recorded resignation of present trustee, as well as a copy of recorded instrument whereby the successor trustee was appointed.
A. Please send the Endeavor Land Department a copy of the complete Divorce Decree including the Settlement Agreement. Also include the recorded conveyance if applicable.
A. Chapter 11 Bankruptcy: For this option Endeavor will require a plan of reorganization and order confirming the plan of reorganization.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy: For this option Endeavor will need a copy of the recorded conveyances as appropriate. For either option please send your documentation to the Endeavor Land Department

A. Endeavor will need a copy of the life tenant’s death certificate, and the names and addresses of remainder men, please send this information directly to the Land Department. If additional information is needed an Endeavor associate will contact you directly.
A. The Endeavor Land Department will need a copy of the death certificate of the joint tenant.
REVENUE INFORMATION AND CHANGES:
A. Fill out the change of address form and email it to landhelp@eeronline.com
A. Endeavor is currently developing an interactive website that will allow interest holders to view their detail online.
A. Revenue detail is mailed with the revenue checks and is generally sent on the last day of the month.
A. After 10 business days you may send your request in writing to revenuehelp@eeronline.com or by Fax to (863) 246-1114 to request a stop payment and reissue on the next regular check run. In order to prevent lost checks Endeavor encourages direct deposit. To set up direct deposit please fill out the direct deposit form and send it to the attention of the Revenue Department.
A. Print and complete the direct deposit form, initial and send by email, fax or mail to the Revenue Department. Please allow up to 60-90 days for processing.
A. You will need to fill out a new form and send to the Revenue Department for processing. Please allow up to 60 days for the new direct deposit to take effect.
A. Yes, Endeavor will continue to mail the deposit detail on the last business day of the month.
A. No, a check is voided after 6 months. If this has occurred please contact the Revenue Department to request a new check or verify if the non-deposited amount has been added to subsequent checks.
A. Yes, we use Oildex.com. Please refer to the website for information on how to sign up.
A. Endeavor is currently developing an interactive website that will allow interest holders to view their detail online. In the meantime, Endeavor will continue to mail detail to all interest holders.
